Investing in the West Valley City Community
Griffith is committed to caring for the West Valley City community by:
- Creating approximately 145 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Utah Food Bank, a Feeding America partner food bank, to support local hunger relief efforts in the greater West Valley City area.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 42 million meals to date with over 2,500 restaurants participating.
- Investing in Taylorsville’s youth by supporting local schools and students. He proudly sponsors all athletic programs at a local high school, rewards academic improvement with free meal cards and partners with area schools to host spirit nights and celebrate student achievements. His efforts reflect Chick-fil-A’s commitment to serving the community and inspiring the next generation.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model drives meaningful economic growth at the local level. Each restaurant is owned and operated by a single individual — a small business owner who lives in the community, creates jobs, mentors talent and reinvests directly into the local economy. Griffith works in his restaurants side by side with Team Members each day.
“I’m deeply honored to serve the West Valley City community, especially alongside my wife and children,” said Griffith. “My journey with Chick-fil-A has always been rooted in care and a commitment to service, but it’s also about creating meaningful opportunities. With this new restaurant, we’re not just opening our doors to Guests; we’re continuing to invest in local schools and organizations to help build a stronger, more connected community.”
Griffith is a longtime resident of the area and a proud graduate of the University of Utah. His journey with Chick-fil-A began while he was living and working in South Korea in 2015. Hoping to bring the brand to Seoul, he entered the local Owner-Operator selection process and quickly fell in love with Chick-fil-A’s culture and values. Upon returning home, Griffith was selected to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Taylorsville in 2017, which he will continue to operate alongside this new restaurant.
