From supporting youth literacy to fighting hunger, Chick-fil-A restaurants team up with hometown teams to make a difference on and off the field.

Each spring, baseball fans across the country welcome the return of American’s pastime—and so do local Chick-fil-A® restaurants. In cities nationwide, Chick-fil-A restaurants proudly partner with Major League Baseball teams, not only bringing delicious food to fans but also meaningful support to their local communities.

These partnerships are about more than game day. Whether it’s helping fight hunger through team foundations or teaming up with players to promote youth literacy and fitness, Chick-fil-A restaurants are focused on making a lasting difference. Here’s how four local markets are coming alongside MLB teams to serve both on and off the field.

Angels Baseball
Since 2019, Chick-fil-A SoCal restaurants have proudly partnered with Angels Baseball – bringing more than just chicken sandwiches to fans. As “The Official Chicken Sandwich of Angels Baseball,” the partnership is rooted in care for the community.

For seven seasons, Chick-fil-A SoCal has sponsored Rally Readers, a family-friendly story time program held at local libraries where children hear stories read by Angels players and receive branded bookmarks, Angels swag and Chick-fil-A entrée cards.

Each season, Chick-fil-A SoCal also donates a suite at an Angels game to a local nonprofit. In 2024, the market hosted Orange County Rescue Mission, which provides support for individuals and families facing homelessness in Orange County through a range of services including housing, food, clothing, job training, medical and dental care, counseling, and spiritual guidance. The organization has also previously received a Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® grant.

Chick-fil-A restaurants support Angel Stadium summer baseball and softball clinics by providing meals, surprise Chick-fil-A Cow appearances and by encouraging kids to stay active.

Annually, at the pre-game event “Fiesta Angels,” fans enjoy Chick-fil-A’s joyful spirit through an interactive booth, branded merchandise, and appearances by the Chick-fil-A Cow. This season,
Chick-fil-A SoCal is introducing a new initiative, “Fan of the Game”—a surprise giveaway program that rewards select Angels fans with special giveaways throughout the year.

Cincinnati Reds
In Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky, Opening Day isn’t just about baseball—it’s about tradition. For the past 29 years, Chick-fil-A restaurants have taken part in the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade, a celebration that draws thousands downtown to kick off the Reds’ season.

Since 1996, local restaurants have supported the parade, featuring Chick-fil-A-branded floats and the Cows as part of a community event benefiting the Findlay Market Association, a nonprofit dedicated to Ohio’s oldest public market.

Inside Great American Ball Park, Chick-fil-A’s official partnership with the Cincinnati Reds includes a “Little Nugget of the Game” feature on the Jumbotron, in-game giveaways, and app-based promotions when the team scores big.

The partnership also highlights quiet acts of care. Through “Reds Way” rewards, ballpark staff members who go the extra mile are recognized with Chick-fil-A entrée cards. Local restaurants also participate in community events like the Redlegs Run, benefiting the Cincinnati Reds Community Fund, and have celebrated milestone moments alongside the team, like its 150th anniversary in 2019.

Arizona Diamondbacks
Phoenix-area restaurants have partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks since 2020, working together to serve fans – and the community.

In 2022, Chick-fil-A opened its first location inside Chase Field, and this season marks four years of cheering on the team alongside fans by serving delicious food. Moreover, Chick-fil-A has eye-catching signage right behind home plate and in the outfield, and throughout the season, restaurants join in on the team’s special theme nights, surprising and delighting fans with plush cows.

Local restaurants also donate meals to events hosted by D-backs Give Back, which aims to improve the lives of people in need across Arizona through fundraising and community programs focused on youth, education, hunger, and housing.

Whether it’s the Cow and Baxter making special appearances together or joining community activations throughout the year, Chick-fil-A and the Diamondbacks are finding unique ways to care for their neighbors on game day and beyond.

Kansas City Royals
Chick-fil-A Kansas City and the Royals have teamed up since 2024 to create memorable moments for fans, while also building lasting connections and supporting meaningful change in the Kansas City community.

Each time the Royals turn a double play or hit a home run off the foul pole at Kauffman Stadium, Chick-fil-A Kansas City celebrates with fans by offering free rewards through the Chick-fil-A® App. The Chick-fil-A Cow adds to the festive atmosphere, surprising fans with smiles and high-fives throughout the park.

Inside the stadium, Chick-fil-A is part of the gameday experience with branded foul poles that have become part of the ballpark’s signature look. Off the field, Chick-fil-A Kansas City celebrates the team’s legacy through its “Nuggets of Royal History” social media series—highlighting memorable moments from the Royals’ past.

Moreover, as the official literacy partner of the Royals, Chick-fil-A Kansas City proudly supports the team’s Literacy League program. Local students who meet their reading goals are recognized with Chick-fil-A prizes to celebrate learning and encourage a lifelong love of reading.

From in-stadium promotions to off-field programs that support local youth, these partnerships reflect the ongoing commitment of Chick-fil-A restaurants to serve their communities. By working alongside these MLB teams, local Owner-Operators are finding meaningful ways to make a positive impact—during the season and beyond.
