Steps
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray 8×8 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
- Prepare brownies according to box instructions, using the 8×8 pan size for cook time (~34-37 minutes).
- Once done, remove brownies from oven, allow to cool completely. Place the entire pan in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Add 2-3 drops of green food coloring to each of your milkshakes, stir to fully combine in the provided cup. Add more or less food coloring to reach your desired green color. This will be the color of Frankenstein’s face!
- After 30 minutes in the freezer, pour both milkshakes into the pan. Use a spoon to spread into an even layer. Place the tray back into the freezer for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- When you are ready to serve, cut the brownies into three rows of three, or four rows of four, depending on how many you are hoping to serve. Carefully lift each “head” out of the pan, press two edible googly eyes into the green milkshake layer. Flip upside down, so that the brownie part is facing up (the hair). Repeat for remaining brownies, serve immediately! Freeze any leftovers.
