Who we are

The Chick-fil-A brand is represented by over 200,000 diverse individuals across the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada, and we are united by our common heart for service to others and to our communities.

Chick-fil-A Operators

Most Chick-fil-A restaurant businesses are independently owned and operated by franchisees (Owner-Operators) who live and work in the communities they serve. Operators are also known for developing their Team Members.

Operators have access to a wide range of leadership, hospitality, and cultural intelligence resources through Chick-fil-A, Inc., which they may choose to leverage to meet the unique needs of their teams.

Chick-fil-A Team Members

Most Chick-fil-A® restaurant businesses are independently owned and operated. At franchised Chick-fil-A restaurant locations, Team Members are employees of the franchised Operator.

Team Members have the opportunity for development at their restaurants, can apply for college scholarships through the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ scholarship program, and have access to tuition discounts at over 100 colleges and universities nationwide.

Chick-fil-A Staff

Chick-fil-A, Inc. strives to attract talent that reflects the communities we serve. Staff can engage with one another through staff-run Community Groups.

Chick-fil-A Community Groups help provide both a sense of belonging and tailored development while allowing us to connect with and learn from one another. A wide range of Community Groups are available to staff, such as Women in Business (WIB), Black Employee Resource Group (BERG), Young Professionals, and the Chick-fil-A Green Team. We routinely collaborate with various national diverse professional development organizations, which have included Women’s Foodservice Forum, National Black MBA Association and Association of Latino Professionals of America.

*Most Chick-fil-A Restaurants are operated by franchised local Operators who are independent businesses and are not employed by Chick-fil-A, Inc. Each Operator and each franchised Restaurant business is solely responsible for all employment matters in their restaurant, such as hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and all terms and conditions of employment.

Commitment in Action

Giving back across diverse communities is a priority for Chick-fil-A Owner-Operators and Chick-fil-A, Inc., including hosting Community Care Events, participating in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, and awarding scholarships to Team Members and service-minded community leaders.

In honor of each new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A donates $25,000 to support a local food pantry in every market in which we operate, with the aim of funds being distributed to partners within the restaurant’s community to aid in the fight against hunger.

Since 2020, Chick-fil-A has contributed $6 million to ensure equitable access to nutritious food. Locally, our franchised restaurant Operators give back in a variety of ways, including through fundraisers with schools and food donations to non-profits.

In 2015, we began a partnership with Thrive Farmers® which has a unique revenues haring model that allows for coffee farmers to receive higher wages

Providing Access to Education

Since 1973, we’ve donated more than $191 million in scholarships to help more than 105,000 Team Members pursue a higher education and achieve their remarkable future — whether it’s with Chick-fil-A or elsewhere.
