Restaurant company expands Boston presence to best serve Guests through Third Party Delivery
BOSTON, M.A, (Sept. 17, 2025) – Chick-fil-A® is opening a kitchen within Boston’s CloudKitchens network, designed to exclusively fulfill delivery orders throughout the city. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Matt DeMichele-Rigoni to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Boston Delivery, alongside Chick-fil-A Copley Square.
Beginning service on Wednesday, Sept. 17, Chick-fil-A Boston Delivery is the company’s first delivery-focused kitchen in the city. Chick-fil-A delivery-focused kitchens are specially designed kitchens that meet the same high standards as our restaurants and are operated by Chick-fil-A Local Owner-Operators. These kitchens focus on preparing Guest favorites for delivery, primarily through third-party platforms. By bringing Chick-fil-A closer to where people live and work, Delivery Kitchens provide added convenience and faster service—making it easier than ever to enjoy Chick-fil-A. Located at 94 Shirley St within the Roxbury Newmarket Foodhub, the Chick-fil-A will fulfill delivery orders Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.

- DeMichele-Rigoni has worked with Chick-fil-A for over 15 years, beginning his Chick-fil-A career at age 15 at a local restaurant in Nashua, New Hampshire. After participating in the restaurant company’s Leadership Development Program in 2017, he was selected to serve as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Copley Square in 2022.
- He is committed to growing his thriving team of over 120 Team Members, developing a strong leadership pipeline, and building meaningful partnerships with community organizations. Passionate about education and encouraging his Team Members to apply to Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ scholarship program, seven of his Team Members have been awarded scholarships through the program, for a total of $11,500.
- He looks forward to continuing to serve Guests and caring for the Boston community alongside his husband, João.
Caring for the Roxbury Community
DeMichele-Rigoni is committed to giving back to the Roxbury community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
- Celebrating the delivery kitchen’s opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of the Greater Boston Food Bank.
- Introducing approximately 25 – 30 full- and part-time jobs to the community.
Elevating the Guest Experience at Copley Square
Slated for later this Fall, Chick-fil-A Copley Square will temporarily close for a remodel, making improvements to meet the needs of the Back Bay community. To best serve Guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality, enhancements will include a redesigned front counter, serving area and Guest queueing to better accommodate dine-in, mobile carry-out, and third-party pick-up. The addition of an exterior door and awning will improve flow.
Earlier this year, Chick-fil-A also highlighted its expansion across Massachusetts, reflecting the restaurant company’s commitment to bringing quality food and exceptional service to more communities.
