Restaurant Celebrates with Cows Eat Free Offer on Opening Day and $25,000 Donation to Address Food Insecurity
SHERRILLS FORD, N.C. (Aug. 28, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Sherrills Ford community at its newest location on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 130 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Wilson Yang as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Sherrills Ford.
To celebrate the restaurant opening, Yang and team are calling on the community to show their spots on opening day! Whether it’s a full cow suit or a simple cow-spotted accessory, Guests of all ages are invited to join the fun. Anyone who visits the restaurant on opening day dressed in cow attire can redeem one free entrée* or kid’s meal inside the restaurant and in the drive-thru.
Located at 7890 Bradley Long Drive, Chick-fil-A Sherrills Ford will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, catering and Mobile Thru.

Yang’s Chick-fil-A journey began with early leadership experiences that taught him the value of serving others and supporting a team. Inspired by Chick-fil-A’s purpose and people, he pursued a path toward becoming a local Owner-Operator. In 2019, Yang was selected to open and operate Chick-fil-A Yonge and Bloor, the brand’s first restaurant in Canada.
“After an incredibly rewarding few years in Canada, I’m excited to return to North Carolina to be closer to family and to continue doing what I love — serving Guests with excellence and genuine hospitality,” said Yang. “The experience I’ve gained as an Operator has been invaluable, and I’m eager to apply those lessons as I serve and grow alongside a new community.”
Over the course of six years, he and his team built a thriving business and a strong connection to the local community. Some significant moments during Yang’s time as an Operator in Canada include giving over $40,000 in Remarkable Futures™ Scholarships to his Team Members and successfully nominating community organizations for True Inspiration Awards grants, awarding five organizations a total of $350,000 in grant money — leaving a lasting legacy of opportunity and generosity in the community he served.
Now Yang, his wife and their two children – including a third on the way – are looking forward to the next chapter in North Carolina. Yang will bring his passion for servant-hearted leadership, hospitality and operational excellence to Chick-fil-A Sherrills Ford, where he’s excited to build meaningful relationships with Guests and Team Members alike.

Yang is committed to giving back to the Sherrills Ford community by:
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits, helping to create over 35 million meals nationwide to date.
