Expansion Brings Up to 900 Jobs and Supports Hunger Relief Efforts in One of the Nation’s Fastest-Growing Markets

DALLAS-FORT WORTH (June 29, 2026) – Chick-fil-A® is deepening its investment in North Texas with nine new restaurants set to open across the region in 2026, creating up to 900 full-and part-time jobs. In celebration of this expansion, Chick-fil-A, Inc. plans to donate $225,000 to Feeding America partners across the region – $25,000 for each locally owned and operated restaurant – to support local hunger relief efforts.

“In North Texas, people don’t just talk about caring for their neighbors, they show up and do the work. That’s exactly how our Chick-fil-A local Owner-Operators approach the communities they serve,” said Hoovey McGuirt, Area Director for Chick-fil-A, Inc. “As we open nine new restaurants across the greater metroplex this year, we’re committing to being a long-term partner — creating jobs, investing in local organizations, and helping address real needs like hunger. The greater Dallas-Fort Worth community has embraced Chick-fil-A for decades, and this expansion is our opportunity to give back.”

Expanding Chick-fil-A‘s Regional Footprint
Chick-fil-A has maintained a significant presence in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex for decades. The brand’s first DFW-area location opened inside Ridgmar Mall in 1977, followed by its first standalone, freestanding restaurant in Grapevine in 1998. In 2023, Chick-fil-A marked a major milestone by opening its 3,000th restaurant at The Shops at RedBird — underscoring the brand’s deep ties to North Texas and its continued investment in the region. These nine new restaurants build on that legacy, extending Chick-fil-A‘s positive impact to fast-growing communities across the metroplex.

Chick-fil-A Dallas North Tollway & W Frontier Pkwy and Chick-fil-A Melissa are now open, with Chick-fil-A Royse City and Chick-fil-A Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport – Terminal A opening later this week. Chick-fil-A Hillsboro and Chick-fil-A Azle are slated to open this summer, with locations in Fort Worth, Princeton and Sachse planned for later in the year.

Beyond creating jobs, this expansion reflects Chick-fil-A‘s commitment to addressing one of metroplex’s most urgent challenges: hunger.

North Texas local Owner-Operators are passionate about showing care to the communities they serve through several initiatives, including:

  • Addressing Food Insecurity: Dallas–Fort Worth is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing regions in the country, and it is also one of the most deeply affected by hunger. Since 2020, Chick-fil-A Inc., has donated $825,000 to support Feeding America’s hunger relief efforts in the region.
  • Redirecting Surplus Food: Through the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from its restaurants to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need, local Owner-Operators across the metroplex have helped create more than 2.3 million meals and diverted 2.6 million pounds of food from landfills, with the number continuing to grow.
  • Awarding Nonprofit Grants: Chick-fil-A, Inc. has awarded more than $1.4 million in grants throughout the metroplex as a part of the True Inspiration Awards® program
  • Developing Future Leaders: As part of the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures® Scholarships initiative, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has awarded nearly $7.6 million worth of scholarships to Team Members in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to support their continued education. To learn more about careers at Chick-fil-A, click here.
