6 parent-approved ways to make more time for family during the school year

The last kid gets out, and the car is filled with silence – but only for a moment. It’s the first day of school, and soon the days will be filled with car lines, homework and extracurricular activities. This new season is busy and fun. As parents ourselves, here are some of the ways we thrive in it.

1. Easy mornings

From laying out clothes the night before to setting three alarms, we’re all about making mornings pain-free. Our favorite trick? Order a Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis® Tray the night before for an easy breakfast. Or pick up a 10-count Chick-fil-A Chick-n-Minis® on the way to school and pass it around the car to make sure everyone gets something to eat.

Whether you’re sitting in the car line at school or driving from activity to activity, The Fun Lane™ podcast on the Chick-fil-A Play™ App makes the ride together a little more enjoyable. Interact with this game show style podcast featuring trivia, riddles and fun challenges.

3. After-school snacks

Do your kids get the afterschool hangries? Grab them Waffle Fries to dip into a Frosted Lemonade  for a delicious after-school treat.

5. Flavorful dinners

Get the kids involved in making a flavorful meal – Sweet & Spicy Grilled Chicken Lettuce Wraps. Open the Chick-fil-A Play™ App and watch the video in the “Create” section. Follow along with the recipe to make these lettuce wraps at home.
