Restaurant Brings Approximately 100 Full- and Part-Time Jobs to Community, Donates $25,000 to Address Food Insecurity
WESTERVILLE, Ohio (April 14, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant is ready to serve Westerville at its newest location opening on Thursday, April 17, 2025, creating approximately 100 jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Waylon Willoughby as the local Owner-Operator of the new restaurant. Willoughby also serves as the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Polaris Parkway.
Located at 680 Polaris Parkway, Chick-fil-A Westerville will be open for dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out and Mobile Thru from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Because Chick-fil-A restaurants are designed to serve the unique needs of each community, Chick-fil-A Westerville will also feature a playground to serve Guests with children.
A Decade of Positive Impact in Columbus

- Willoughby has been dedicated to serving the Columbus area since 2014. When he was first selected to serve as a local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator, he envisioned cultivating an environment where both Guests and Team Members could thrive and feel welcomed.
- Since then, he has brought that vision to life through initiatives focused on making a positive impact beyond the restaurant, including providing students from four neighboring schools the opportunity to participate in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy™.
- Since 2014, Chick-fil-A has awarded 119 scholarships totaling over $250,000 to support Willoughby’s Team Members continuing their education through the Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures™ scholarship program.
- Willoughby employs approximately 200 full- and part-time Team Members across the two restaurants.

Willoughby is committed to giving back to the Westerville community by:
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program redirects surplus food to local nonprofits. Since joining the program over six years ago, his restaurants have collectively donated more than 20,000 meals to the Worthington Resource Pantry. To date, more than 35 million meals have been created from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to support local hunger relief efforts of Mid-Ohio Food Collective, a Feeding America partner food bank, in honor of the new restaurant.
