WAUKEGAN, Ill. (Feb. 5, 2026) – A new Chick-fil-A® restaurant will begin serving the Waukegan community at its newest location on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, at 6:30 a.m., creating approximately 110 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A, Inc. selected Laura Glogowski to be the local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Waukegan.
Located at 790 S Northpoint Blvd., Chick-fil-A Waukegan will serve Guests Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., offering dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, third-party delivery and mobile pick-up. Investing in the Waukegan Community
Glogowski is committed to caring for the Waukegan community by:
- Creating approximately 110 full- and part-time jobs. Chick-fil-A local Owners-Operators hire and grow top talent through hands-on training and mentoring, competitive pay and benefits, the chance to apply for scholarships to support continued education, and the flexibility to thrive in and outside of work – all within a purpose-driven, flexible environment.
- Celebrating the opening with a $25,000 donation from Chick-fil-A, Inc. to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts in the greater Chicago area.
- Participating in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which redirects surplus food to local nonprofits and has helped to create over 42 million meals to date with over 2,500 restaurants participating.
Locally Owned and Operated
Chick-fil-A’s franchise model drives meaningful economic growth at the local level. Each restaurant is owned and operated by a single individual — a small business owner who lives in the community, creates jobs, mentorstalent and reinvests directly into the local economy. Glogowski will work in her restaurant side by side with Team Members each day.
“Waukegan stood out to me because of its strong sense of community, family values and resilient spirit,” said Glogowski. “My hope for this restaurant is to create positive, memorable moments that change lives — whether through a warm smile, our genuine hospitality or a moment of care that stays with Guests throughout their day. Just as importantly, I look forward to creating a workplace where our Team Members can grow and are surrounded by a supportive community.”
Glogowski’s Chick-fil-A journey began at age 17 as a Front of House Team Member. Raised by entrepreneurial parents and having grown up in a resource-conscious household, she experienced firsthand how opportunity and mentorship through Chick-fil-A could change the trajectory of someone’s life. Today, she brings that perspective to Waukegan, leading with a deep commitment to career development and using her restaurant as a platform to serve and strengthen the community. More about Glogowski’s inspiring path to becoming a local Owner-Operator is available on the Chick-fil-A Press Room.
